Chiropractic Care

Spinal Adjustment

This chiropractic treatment uses manipulation and mobilization techniques to realign your spine. Spinal manipulation involves applying a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust (HVLA) to your spinal joints. It can help you soothe migraine, neck pain, and joint problems like arm and leg pain. Meanwhile, spinal mobilization helps your spinal joints move through gentle motions done by our seasoned chiropractors.

Hip Adjustment

If you’re dealing with hip pain, adjusting your hip could help soothe your aches. A hip adjustment could keep your discomfort from coming back, too. It could even help restore muscle strength and joint flexibility. Moreover, hip adjustments can get your joints moving optimally again. Our chiropractors can relieve painful hips through massages, adjustments, and exercises.

Back Adjustment

We can also adjust your back to relieve pain, stiffness, and strains. Moreover, a back adjustment could help address herniated discs and limited mobility. We can perform an adjustment on your upper or lower back. We’ll realign the affected area with techniques like flexion-distraction, a technique that uses adjusting tables to stretch your back.

Full Body Adjustment

This chiropractic adjustment targets your whole body. Apart from soothing aches and improving mobility, full body adjustments can help reduce stress. They enable better blood circulation and brain function, too. We use several techniques and tools in our full body chiropractic adjustments. The activator technique is one of these methods. It uses an activator instrument to mobilize affected joints.

Tailbone Adjustment

We can also address painful tailbones through chiropractic care. A tailbone adjustment could help you relieve pain from an injured tailbone. Additionally, this chiropractic treatment could help realign your tailbone and stretch its ligaments. Our tailbone adjustments involve manipulations, massages, and stretching. These methods can help soothe a painful tailbone and relax its tight muscles.

Physical Therapy

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy helps ease tight muscles and accompanying aches. It enables better blood flow to muscles, as well. We work on your affected muscles with our hands. Adjustments, mobilizations, and massages are techniques we use for manual therapy.

Therapeutic Exercises

We can also recommend specific exercises to help you address muscle, joint, and soft tissue problems. These exercises help regain and maintain your body’s strength, endurance, flexibility, stability, and balance. Therapeutic exercises include range-of-motion, strengthening, and flexibility exercises.

Therapy Modalities

Beyond manual therapy, we also address soft tissue problems with special tools. Therapy modalities can help rebuild muscle strength, reduce tension, and enable recovery. Some of the tools we use include hot and cold packs and ultrasound devices.

Traction Therapy

Traction therapy stretches your spine, releasing pressure on spinal discs. In turn, your affected disc’s soft center goes back into place. When the core returns to its original position, it results in decompressed spinal nerves and less pain.

Patient Education

Physical therapy goes beyond adjustments, exercises, and modalities. It’ll also help you learn what causes your current condition and how you can manage it. We can teach you how to correct your posture, avoid falls, and prevent reinjury during activities.

Rehabilitation

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy involves a variety of treatments that can help you move and feel better. We address injured tissues through manual therapies, special tools, and patient education. The treatments we use depend on your condition.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps you achieve better motor skills for daily tasks. We’ll start therapy by assessing your home and work or school environment. Then, we’ll recommend tools, activities, and modifications to help you perform tasks.

Pain Treatment

Our rehabilitation therapy program also focuses on addressing your aches and pains. Pain treatment can help you move easily and engage completely in rehabilitation. We use methods like hot and cold therapies and massages to help ease aches.

Assistive Devices

With assistive devices, you can do daily tasks and activities easily. We can give you tools that’ll help you move and work, including walkers, canes, crutches, and braces. We could make adjustments to your current environment, as well.

Conditions We Treat

Bursitis

Bursitis happens when bursae, the small sacs within your body, swell. It could occur in your shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, or buttocks. Bursitis often stems from repetitive movement.

Disc Herniation

A herniated disc compresses your spinal nerves and produces severe pain. Most of the time, this condition affects the lower back. Age and trauma could cause a slipped disc.

Foot & Ankle Pain

These types of pain affect your foot and ankle. Injuries, overuse, or conditions like arthritis and heel pain could hurt your foot. Meanwhile, a painful ankle could stem from ankle injuries, gout, or osteoarthritis.

Hip Pain

Hip pain can be felt within or around your hip joint. The ache mostly occurs in your groin or thigh. Inflamed tendons, arthritis, and fractures are some common causes of hip pain.

Sprains & Strains

Sprains affect your ligaments, while strains hurt your muscles or tendons. Accidents, contact sports, or repetitive motions can lead to a sprain or strain.

What to Expect

1 Examination

During your 1st visit, our providers will hear the story of what brings you in, perform a new patient examination to determine the root cause of your problem, and briefly summarize what was found.

The examination consists of motion tests, palpation, reflex testing, and muscle strength, to help identify dysfunction in movement patterns and poor muscle engagement.

2 Report Of Finding

During your second visit, your provider will recap what was found in the examination, discuss a solution, review what your personal contribution to care will be, and begin treatment on that day.

3 Daily Appointments

On each subsequent visit, our providers will perform routine assessments to ensure you are track with your treatment plan and provide treatment.

Treatment visits typically consist of a combination of:

  • Chiropractic Adjustments: restores, maintains, and optimizes human function by eliminating interference within the joint and soft tissue thus restoring the synergy between your joints, nerves, and muscles. Chiropractic adjustments are only available during sessions with a chiropractor.
  • Integrated Muscle and Joint Therapy (IMJT): an advanced, active form of soft tissue treatment that effectively integrates the mind, muscular, skeletal, and neurological systems to achieve optimum balance throughout the body. IMJT is a patented technique available exclusively at LifeClinic.
  • Rehabilitation: carefully selected exercises and activities used in a specific sequence in order to reinforce changes made with the adjustment and IMJT. Rehabilitation retrains the body’s “movement habits.”
