Meet the Team
Dr. Trenton Civello
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Trenton Civello graduated from Lindenwood University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan University since 2017. Dr. Trenton was originally inspired to become a chiropractor because he worked in the health and fitness industry for years and he’s always noticed that sometimes the motivation is there, but the body isn’t quite ready. Even young in his fitness career, he recognized that physical limitations present much earlier than the injury itself. He wanted to find a career that could put him right in the middle so he could help people before an injury even occurs. Studying and becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic has given him the education and skills needed to accurately assess and diagnose his patients, but also effectively treat nearly any musculoskeletal condition. He enjoys Seeing patients regain their quality of life and return to old hobbies after being a slave to their injury or condition for far too long. He likes helping that person who hasn’t played tennis in years because of a shoulder complaint because he knows that it’s not just about the pain or discomfort, it’s about the activity that they’ve lost. He also enjoys seeing the process through and seeing patients improve subjectively and objectively, and nothing’s better than seeing the happiness that comes after they return to something they’re passionate about.
Dr. Trenton has a particular interest in treating golfers. He has been a TPI Certified physician for the Titleist Performance Institute since 2018. This certification gives him the tools needed to accurately treat golf-specific injuries with rehabilitative techniques to get any player back on the course and better than before. He has also helped many golfers pre-injury through physical screenings and swing analysis to detect swing characteristics that could lead to future injury or even restrict the golfer’s potential to improve.

Chiropractic Care
Spinal Adjustment
Our experts will help realign and adjust your spine using various techniques. We can either use manipulation or mobilization techniques to correct your spinal alignment.
Spinal manipulation involves applying a controlled thrust to your spinal joints, producing a “pop.” For gentler techniques, we can utilize a spinal mobilization for your comfort. We can also use techniques like the Cox flexion-distraction to correct your spine and relieve your discomfort.
Back Adjustment
We can provide chiropractic care for your back as well. We can perform an upper or lower back adjustment, depending on where you’re feeling the pain.
Apart from soothing a painful back, these adjustments can also help relieve symptoms like herniated discs, pulled muscles or ligaments, and stiffness. We use several spinal realignment techniques to adjust your back, including the Gonstead adjustment for specific areas of the spine.
Hip Adjustment
Realigning your hips can involve massages, adjustments, and other exercises. Each technique can help your hips recover from an injury or a chronic condition.
For instance, massages could help bring relief and improve range of motion. On the other hand, adjustments can get your hip joints back to their natural position. We can even give you exercises to restrengthen muscles and restore mobility.
Full Body Adjustment
As its name suggests, this chiropractic adjustment targets your whole body. A full body adjustment offers various benefits like pain relief, enhanced flexibility, and improved sleep.
Our full-body chiropractic adjustments use a range of techniques like manual adjustments and activator tools. However, we can also adjust your body with methods like sacral blocking, which helps correct its alignment and balance.
Tailbone Adjustment
Even if your coccyx or tailbone is only a small part of your spine, it can still get hurt. Our tailbone adjustments can help you soothe chronic pain felt around the area.
In this chiropractic service, we’ll perform a manual adjustment that lets us reposition your tailbone joint. We can also massage the tight pelvic floor muscles attached to your coccyx to relieve pain or stretch the ligaments for less muscle tension.
Rehabilitation
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on helping you relearn tasks like eating and walking. We’ll work with you to improve how your body deals with everyday activities and refine your motor skills.
Pain Treatment
Physical rehabilitation can also help relieve various pains and discomfort. This process can improve your mobility to get you more involved in rehabilitation. We help soothe aches with heat therapy, traction, massage, and other approaches.
Nutritional Counseling
Developing healthy habits is another essential part of rehabilitation. We’ll help you modify your diet and give you suitable exercises, so you can feel better and stay fit.
Assistive Devices
We can even recommend assistive devices to help you move and perform tasks. Walkers, crutches, and orthotics are some aids you can use.
Special Services
NormaTec Compression
If you’re after a quicker recovery, NormaTec therapy is perfect for you. The system helps boost your recovery time with pulsing, gradients, and distal release techniques. NormaTec’s Sequential Pulse Technology delivers all three methods for increased body circulation. Moreover, NormaTec compression therapy could help eliminate toxins and ease swelling, among others.
Hydromassage
This type of therapy massages the soft tissues of the body with pressurized jets of water. You can get a hydromassage on a dedicated machine or a table. Hydrotherapy can soothe your knees, lower back, neck, or shoulder. It can also relieve muscle pains and promote better blood circulation.
Theragun Compressive Therapy
Our Frontenac chiropractic care center offers Theragun physical therapy as well. The Theragun is a device that uses percussive therapy to address aching muscles. It delivers rapid blasts of concentrated pressure to the affected area to facilitate better and faster reconditioning. These pulses also lead to better blood flow to soothe pains.
Conditions We Treat
Sciatica
Sciatica is a painful condition from a constricted sciatic nerve. This condition first occurs in your lower back, then spreads to your buttocks and legs. As a result, you could experience pain, numbness, or weakness around the affected areas.
Knee Pain
Knee pain can be caused by numerous factors like fractures, osteoarthritis, bursitis, and more. Certain symptoms can come with knee pain, including swelling, limping, and walking problems. These conditions can also lead you immobile as you wouldn’t be able to flex or extend your knees.
Extremity Pain
Extremity pain covers specific discomforts felt on your upper or lower limbs. It has several forms, including arm and leg pain. Injuries and overuse could lead to a painful arm. Leg pains can also be triggered by the causes above or certain medical conditions.
Hip Pain
This type of pain can occur within or around your hip. However, it could also extend to your groin or thigh. Fractures, tendonitis, and arthritis are some of the most common causes of hip pains. A hurting hip could trigger symptoms like limping and painful joints.
Chronic Joint & Muscle Pain
Chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis can cause lingering joint pains. On the other hand, fibromyalgia or myofascial pains are types of muscle pains that can hinder movement.
Sprains & Strains
Sprains occur when the ligaments connecting two bones overstretch or tear. Strains are similar to sprains but instead happen to the ligaments that attach a muscle to a bone. You can get any of these injuries from playing sports, exercising, or getting into accidents, among other causes. Sprains and strains mostly result in swelling and inflamed joints that restrict movement.
What to Expect
1 Examination
During your 1st visit, our providers will hear the story of what brings you in, perform a new patient examination to determine the root cause of your problem, and briefly summarize what was found.
The examination consists of motion tests, palpation, reflex testing, and muscle strength, to help identify dysfunction in movement patterns and poor muscle engagement.
2 Report Of Finding
During your second visit, your provider will recap what was found in the examination, discuss a solution, review what your personal contribution to care will be, and begin treatment on that day.
3 Daily Appointments
On each subsequent visit, our providers will perform routine assessments to ensure you are track with your treatment plan and provide treatment.
Treatment visits typically consist of a combination of:
- Chiropractic Adjustments: restores, maintains, and optimizes human function by eliminating interference within the joint and soft tissue thus restoring the synergy between your joints, nerves, and muscles. Chiropractic adjustments are only available during sessions with a chiropractor.
- Integrated Muscle and Joint Therapy (IMJT): an advanced, active form of soft tissue treatment that effectively integrates the mind, muscular, skeletal, and neurological systems to achieve optimum balance throughout the body. IMJT is a patented technique available exclusively at LifeClinic.
- Rehabilitation: carefully selected exercises and activities used in a specific sequence in order to reinforce changes made with the adjustment and IMJT. Rehabilitation retrains the body’s “movement habits.”
