Dr. Maloney

Dr. John Maloney

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. John Maloney graduated with a bachelor’s in health education from Ithaca College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. He has been serving patients in the Westchester County and Harrison, NY area for over six years. Dr. Maloney was inspired to become a chiropractor after shadowing multiple different professions in the medical field and realized the large degree in which Chiropractic care and treatment can help patients. He has always been active and saw firsthand how chiropractic care helped him to not only feel better overall but also put his body in a better place to perform any physical activity he may be doing. Also dealing with a history of sports related injuries there is nothing that helped him bounce back faster than Chiropractic care. When he started working with patients’ years ago, he fell in love with the shock people would have when they began to feel better from Chiropractic care. This is an interesting profession because to this day, he still gets patients that almost need to be convinced to try a Chiropractor out. When patients who initially doubt Chiropractic Care buy in after feeling better, this is a great feeling. It allows them to then have more control over their own health. Dr. Maloney lives by the moto, “Movement is Key”. He is passionate about staying active and is also a huge advocate for incorporating proper nutrition into his treatment methods. Growing up, he played numerous sports but focused mostly on football and Rugby. Chiropractic played a huge roll in his success as an athlete and now in his everyday life.

Dr. Maloney trained in many different soft tissue modalities, rehab protocols, and many joint adjustment techniques. He prides himself in being a chiropractor that address the entire body including soft tissue not just the “joints”. A few licenses he attained are NIMMO, Graston-Technique, Cupping, Decompression or Flexion-Distraction Technique, IMJT, and Active Release Technique. He specializes in treating lower back disc or musculature issues, hip issues, neck issues, as well as shoulder and ankle, using multiple techniques depending on the patient’s condition. LifeClinic has been a great place to practice due to the huge amount of professional resources at our fingertips. It is great working with so many health and fitness professionals and it also allows us to optimize our patient’s permanence and recovery as well.

Our Approach

What To Expect

During your 1st visit, our providers will hear the story of what brings you in, perform a new patient examination to determine the root cause of your problem, and briefly summarize what was found.

The examination consists of motion tests, palpation, reflex testing, and muscle strength, to help identify dysfunction in movement patterns and poor muscle engagement.

Report of Findings

During your second visit, your provider will recap what was found in the examination, discuss a solution, review what your personal contribution to care will be, and begin treatment on that day.

Ongoing

On each subsequent visit, our providers will perform routine assessments to ensure you are tracking with your treatment plan – and provide treatment.

Treatment visits typically consist of a combination of:

  • Chiropractic Adjustments: Restores, maintains, and optimizes human function by eliminating interference within the joint and soft tissue thus restoring the synergy between your joints, nerves, and muscles. Chiropractic adjustments are only available during sessions with a chiropractor.
  • Integrated Muscle and Joint Therapy (IMJT): An advanced, active form of soft tissue treatment that effectively integrates the mind, muscular, skeletal, and neurological systems to achieve optimum balance throughout the body. IMJT is a patented technique available exclusively at LifeClinic.
  • Rehabilitation: Carefully selected exercises and activities used in a specific sequence in order to reinforce changes made with the adjustment and IMJT. Rehabilitation retrains the body’s “movement habits”
